User Roles

Celeredge has roles at two levels: organization roles (who you are across the whole firm) and engagement roles (your part on a specific piece of work). A full permissions reference lives in Roles & Permissions; this page is the plain-language version.

Organization roles

Every person in your firm's Celeredge tenant has one organization role.

RoleCan doCannot do
Member (Consultant)Work inside engagements they're on: run assessments, collect evidence, build deliverablesManage firm-wide settings, invite users, or change practices
ReviewerRead-only access to review workEdit engagement content
ExternalLimited, scoped access for outside collaboratorsFirm-wide visibility
Organization AdminEverything a Member can, plus manage users, practices visibility, integrations, and billing for the firm

Organization Admins manage people and visibility. On the Enterprise plan, your firm can also author its own frameworks — see Framework Authoring. Celeredge additionally maintains a shared library of frameworks published to all firms.

Practice Leads

A Practice Lead is a firm user assigned to own a specific practice (e.g. the Cybersecurity practice). Practice Leads are assigned by an Organization Admin and are responsible for the methodology and frameworks surfaced within their practice area.

Engagement roles

Within a single engagement, people are added to the team with an engagement-level role (such as consultant), and one person is set as the engagement lead. Engagement membership controls who can see and act on that engagement's work, independent of firm-wide role.

Celeredge Administrator (platform staff)

Celeredge Administrators are Celeredge's own staff, not your firm's users. They:

  • maintain the shared framework library published across all firms,
  • manage the platform across all firms,
  • configure platform-level settings.

Your firm doesn't need Celeredge staff to author frameworks: on the Enterprise plan your firm authors its own — see Framework Authoring. Celeredge's library is an additional, ready-made set you can also use.
