Prospects

A Prospect is a potential client your firm is pursuing. Prospects are the top of the client hierarchy — they become Accounts when they convert, and accounts hold Engagements.

Who can access

All firm users have org-wide visibility into the pipeline; ownership is tracked per prospect.

How it works

The Prospects area lists the companies your firm is pursuing, with owners and status. From a prospect you can convert to an account and (optionally) pre-seed a new engagement from it.

Step by step

  1. Open Prospects from the firm sidebar.
  2. Add a prospect — capture the potential client company.
  3. Assign an owner — track who's driving the relationship.
  4. Convert to account — when the prospect becomes a client, convert them to an Account; engagement work begins from there.

Best practices

  • Capture prospects early. A prospect record gives you a place to attach context before the work is won.
  • Convert, don't recreate. Converting a prospect to an account preserves continuity rather than creating a duplicate company.
