Ontology & KPI Tree

Each engagement is mapped to an industry ontology — a structured model of the client's industry as capabilities, processes, and KPIs. The ontology seeds the engagement's KPI tree and helps connect frameworks to the client's actual operating reality.

How it works

When you create an engagement and set its industry, Celeredge maps it to the matching ontology. For example, a Food Manufacturing engagement maps to an ontology of capabilities → processes → KPIs:

The ontology gives the engagement a shared structure to hang data, KPIs, and framework mappings on, so analysis speaks the client's operational language rather than a generic one.

Step by step

  1. Set the industry when creating the engagement.
  2. Open Data & Evidence → Ontology & KPI tree to review the seeded model.
  3. Use the KPI tree as the structure that database and financial KPIs populate.

Best practices

  • Pick the industry carefully at creation. It drives the ontology and KPI tree the whole engagement uses, and the AI baseline pre-flight checks for it.
  • Connect data to populate KPIs. The tree is the structure; connected data and uploads fill it with real numbers.
