Notebook

The Notebook is an analytical workspace of cells over the engagement's data. It's where you build up analysis — including charts — and turn the results into insights. It lives in the engagement's Analysis workspace.

Who can access​

Members of the engagement team. The Notebook is part of the Analysis workspace — see that page for which plans show the Analysis section.

How it works​

You work in cells, each running a piece of analysis over the engagement's data. Notebook outputs — including charts — can carry citations back to their sources, and the meaningful results are promoted into insights that appear in Execute and can flow into deliverables.

Step by step​

  1. Open Analysis → Notebook in the engagement.
  2. Add analytical cells over the engagement's data.
  3. Review outputs and their citations.
  4. Promote insights to surface findings on the Analysis page.

Best practices​

  • Keep cells focused. One question per cell makes results easier to cite and reuse.
  • Promote as you go. Capture insights when you find them so they're ready for Deliver.
  • Check citations on charts. A cited chart is a defensible chart.
